Girl dies as slide falls on her

A nine-year-old girl was killed when a slide, playground equipment, collapsed on her while playing beside it in Khansama upazila of the district on Friday. The deceased, Nispa Akhter, daughter of Gori Ahmed of Neula village, was also a Class II student at a local primary school. Witnesses said an iron made slide fell on Nispa while she along with her playmates were plying beside it on Friday evening. Locals rescued Nispa and took her to Khansama Upazila Health Complex where the doctors declared her dead, Officer-in-Charge Abdul Matin of Khansama Police Station said.
