Girl dies as scarf gets entangled

A twelve-year-old girl died when her scarf got entangled with a wheel of a three-wheeler in Sapahar upazila of Naogaon on Wednesday.

The deceased, Pushpa Saha, a Class VI student at f Tilna Girls' High, was daughter of Pradip Saha of Tilna village.

Pushpa fell off the battery-run auto-rickshaw after her scarf got entangled with the rear wheel of the vehicle and knotted tightly around her neck, leaving her critically injured.

Locals took her to Sapahar Upazila Health Complex were the doctors declared her dead, Officer-in-Charge Rezaul Karim of Sapahar Police Station said.
