Full verdict of new Warrant of Precedence released

The Supreme Court today released its full verdict directing the government to issue a new Warrant of Precedence giving status of district judges along with the ranks of government secretaries.

Holders of the constitutional posts will be given priority in the new Warrant of Precedence, the apex court ruled in its 62-page full judgment.

The short verdict of the today's judgment was delivered by Md Mozammel Hossain, the then chief justice of the SC's appellate division, on January 11, 2015.
