Fraudster held for stealing Tk 4cr during fake recruitment drive in Bogura
Detective Branch of Police have arrested a man on charge of swindling people out of Tk four crore by promising them jobs from Bogura's Shibganj upazila.
The arrestee was identified as Torikul Islam, hailing from the upazila's Damgara Bhirhotta village, reports our correspondent quoting Muttaki Ebnu Minan, deputy police commissioner (DB) of Rangpur DB office.
Rangpur DB police arranged a press conference in this regard this morning.
The fraudster was arrested from the upazila's Kalitola Bazar yesterday after a drive was conducted there, the DB official said.
DB official Muttaki said Torikul stole more than Tk four crore from job aspirants of seven districts and upazilas promising them jobs in different firms.
The victims filed complaints against the accused.
