Form monitoring cell at pvt varsities: UGC

University Grants Commission today directed all the private universities to form monitoring cells for creating awareness among the students against militancy, terrorism and extremism.

In a press note, the UGC also asked the concerned authorities to forward an office order mentioning the name and designation of the members of the cell to the commission.

At the same time, the universities have also been asked to send a monthly report about the activities undertaken by the cell to the Education Ministry and UGC, the release also read.
