Fire at Gazipur spinning mill

A fire broke out in a spinning mill at Mulaid in Sreepur upazila of the district early yesterday.

On information, fire fighters from Bhaluka, Joydebpur and Mawna fire service stations rushed to the spot and doused the flames after four hours of frantic efforts.

No casualty was reported in the fire incident.

Jihad Miah, inspector of Mawna Fire Service Station, said the fire broke out at Jadu Spinning Mill at around 1:00am. It might have been caused from an electric short circuit, he added.
