Fire breaks out at Old Dhaka plastic factory

A fire broke out at a plastic factory in Old Dhaka's Chawkbazar area early today.

The fire originated around 3:45am at the factory in a building named 'Noakhali Bhaban' on Urdu Road.

Fifteen firefighting units doused the blaze around 8:45am, said Rasel Sikder, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters control room.

No casualties were reported.

The cause of the fire could not be known immediately.
