Farmer murdered

Police recovered the body of a farmer from a paddy field at Chailar Beel in Chhatak upazila of Sunamganj district yesterday. The deceased was identified as Kadar Miah, 55, of the upazila. The body, which bore several injury marks, was sent to Sunamganj Hospital morgue for autopsy, said Ashraful Islam, officer-in-charge of Chhatak Police Station. A murder case will be filed in this connection, said the OC.
