Farmer electrocuted

A farmer was electrocuted in Badarganj upazila of Rangpur on Wednesday afternoon. The deceased was Towhidul Islam, 27, son of Joynal Abedhin of Banuapara village. Locals said Towhidul came in contact with a live electric wire when he switched on a power-run water pump at his paddy field in the village. He later died at the upazila health complex.
