Ex-education minister Nahid contracts Covid-19

Former education minister and also a presidium member of ruling Awami League Nurul Islam Nahid has tested positive for Covid-19.

The former minister's report came positive after he was tested for the virus at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) on Thursday, his former personal secretary Jakir Hossain told Prothom Alo.

Nahid's physicians are in constant touch with him while he is being treated in home isolation, Jakir Hossain added.
