Eid advance bus ticket sale may begin Aug 26

Private bus operators are likely to start selling advance tickets from August 26 for home-goers ahead of the Eid-ul-Azha.

"We fixed the date of selling tickets primarily on discussion with the top officials of Bangladesh Bus Truck Owners Association," Ramesh Chandra Ghosh, vice-chairman of the association, told The Daily Star.

"We will take the final decision within one or two days," Ghosh said.  

The Eid-u-Azha will be held in the middle of the month of September.
