Dog bites 18 people in Faridpur
At least 18 people including six school-going students were bitten by a dog in Faridpur town within half an hour today.
All the injured people were given anti-rabies vaccines at Faridpur General Hospital, reports our local correspondent.
The black-coloured dog indiscriminately bit pedestrians including school-going students in Faridpur Railway Station, High School market town and Station Bazar areas of Faridpur municipality between 9:45 am and 10:15 am, according to eyewitnesses.
Later, locals people caught the dog and killed it.
AM Razzak, who was taking treatment at the hospital, said, “Suddenly a black-coloured dog bit me on my leg when I was standing at Faridpur Railway Station around 9:45 am.”
Rabiul Mridha, a student of class seven of Faridpur High School, said, “The dog bit me while I was entering my school. After that, I came to the hospital and took the anti-rabies vaccine.”
Ansar Ali, a senior nurse of Faridpur General Hospital, said a total of 18 people, who were bitten by a dog, took treatment at the hospital in the morning.
