Didn’t use abusive words on Hindus: Minister

Will quit, if allegation proved, he says

Denying the allegation that he made derogatory remarks about Hindu people, Fisheries and Livestock Minister Sayedul Haque today said he will quit if anyone can prove that he used "abusive language" against the minority community.

"Some people are trying to influence the Hindu minority people against me as they voted for me during elections," the minister said.

He came up with the remarks after he was highly criticised for allegedly making derogatory remarks about Hindus following the attacks that left around 100 houses of Hindu people and five temples vandalised in Nasirnagar upazila of Brahmanbaria.
