Child marriage bid foiled

A madrasa girl was saved from child marriage in Nawabganj upazila of the district on Wednesday. Marriage of tenth grader Monira Akhter was arranged in the evening. Being informed, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Bazlur Rashid rushed to the spot and foiled the marriage, said police.
