Biman MD Mokabbir made railways ministry secretary

The government today appointed Biman Managing Director and CEO M Mokabbir Hossain as the new secretary to the railways ministry.

The government also appointed Mokammel Hossain, additional secretary of public administration ministry, as the new secretary of Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry, said a circular of the public administration ministry.

Talking to The Daily Star, M Mohibul Haque, senior secretary of Civil Aviation Ministry, said he will go to retirement on January 5, next year.

The government is yet to appoint anyone as new MD and CEO of the national flag carrier.

Besides, the government has made change to the post of member (secretary), planning commission, as Ramendranath Biswas, additional secretary, finance division was given that post.

Mostafa Kamal, additional secretary of health ministry, has been made chairman (secretary) of Land Reform Board while divisional commissioner of Dhaka Mostafizur Rahman was made land secretary.
