Bangabandhu’s sculpture: Defamation case against Khaleda, Tarique, Babunagari dismissed
A Dhaka court today dismissed a defamation case against six people including BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia and Hefajat chief Junayed Babunagari for speaking against Bangabandhu's sculpture.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Satyabrata Sikder passed the order as he did not find sufficient ground to file the case.

The other accused were BNP's acting chairman Tarique Rahman, its Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Hefajat-e-Islam Joint Secretary General Mamunul Haque, and Islami Andolan Bangladesh Senior Nayeb-e-Amir Syed Muhammad Faizul Karim.
The case was filed by AB Siddique, president of pro-Awami League organisation Bangladesh Jananetri Parishad.
