Bandarban ex-mayor arrested

A former municipality mayor and an incumbent councillor of Bandarban were arrested yesterday on charge of making derogatory comments on Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The arrestees are Mizanur Rahman Biplob, a former mayor, and Habibur Rahman Khokon, a running councilor of the municipality. Both of them allegedly made the comment demeaning Bangabandhu through Facebook recently, said Amir Hossain, investigation officer of Sadar Police Station.  A case will be filed against the duo under Information and Communication Technology Act, he said.
