'Arrest killers of Jui'

Speakers at a human chain programme at Sher-e-Bangla Intersection in Panchagarh town yesterday demanded immediate arrest and exemplary punishment of the killers of 12-year-old domestic help Jui.

People from all walks of life joined the programme jointly organised by Prothom Alo Bondhushava Panchagarh unit and Nagorik Odhikar Forum.

They also threatened a tougher agitation if the killers are not arrested immediately.

Panchagarh Press Club General Secretary Shafiqul Alam, local NGO Director Akhterun Nahar and human rights activist Mohammad Shahjalal spoke at the rally.

The girl died at her employer's house on August 4 allegedly without any treatment.
