Application for admission in govt secondary schools from Dec 15-27

Those seeking admission to government secondary schools can apply from December 15 until December 27 and the admissions will be finalised through lottery on December 30.

The Department of Secondary and Higher Education today issued a notification in this regard.

Earlier in the week, the department had sent a policy as a proposal to the education ministry, sources said.

DSHE Director (Secondary) Belal Hossain said the policy for admitting students at government schools has approved in the ministry yesterday.

According to the notification, students will be able to apply for admission from December 15 and the last date of submitting forms is December 27. The students have to apply in online.

The schools will publish the list of the final candidates on December 30, it said.

The date and the process of admission will be informed later, it stated.

Earlier, Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni said that the process of admission in secondary schools will be held through lottery.
