96 robbers, arms makers who surrendered last year freed in Cox’s Bazar

Ninety-six robbers and arms makers who surrendered before the administration last year were released from jail in Cox's Bazar today, around 11 months after they started serving time in the prison.

They walked out of the jail in the afternoon today as they secured bail from the court of Cox's Bazar District and Sessions Judge's Court Judge Mohammad Ismail yesterday, our staff correspondent reports.

Cox's Bazar district's Legal Aid Committee assisted them in getting bail from the court, Public Prosecutor Faridul Alam confirmed.

On November 23, 2019, the robbers, arms makers and dealers surrendered before Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan in Maheshkhali of Cox's Bazar.
