A Habiganj court today indicted eight accused in a case filed for killing four children in the district's Bahubal upazila in February.
District and Sessions Judge Md Atabullah passed the order, our Moulvibazar correspondent reports quoting Abul Hashem Mullah, public prosecutor of the district's women and children repression prevention tribunal.
Five of accused -- Abdul Ali, 60, who allegedly ordered killing the four children, his two sons Rubel Mia, and Jewel Mia, Shahed Ahmed Bashir and Habibur Rahman Arju – were present at the courtroom while Billal Mia, Ustar Mia and Babul Mia remain absconding.
Detectives on April 5 pressed charges against nine people in the case filed in connection with the killing of four schoolboys in the upazila of Habiganj.
The ninth charge-sheeted accused, Bachchu Mia, was killed in a "gunfight" with law enforcers soon after the incident.
