7 drug peddlers held with Yaba, Phensidyl, hemp

Law enforcers detained seven alleged drug peddlers and seized huge quantity of Phensidyl, Yaba tablets and hemp from Bogra, Chapainawabganj and Benapole of Jessore yesterday and the day before.

Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested three drug peddlers along 1.3kg of hemp, 9 bottles of Phensidyl and four mobile sets from different areas of the town yesterday, said Mofizul Islam, assistant superintendent of police, working with Rab-12 in Bogra, reports our correspondent

In Chapainawabganj, police on Sunday night detained a truck drive and his assistant and seized 750 bottles of Phensidyl from the vehicle from Sonamasjid Land Port area in Shibganj upazila, said Moinul Hossain, OC of Shibganj Police Station.

In Benapole, Rab members arrested two alleged drug peddlers along with 1022 Yaba tablets from Kagmari village under Benapole Port Police Station on Sunday night.
