6 killed in Mymensingh road crash

At least six people were killed and three others injured as a truck rammed a human hauler in Gouripur upazila of Mymensingh this evening.

All the victims, aged between 30 and 35, from Kishorganj, were passengers of the human hauler, our local correspondent reports quoting Morshedul Hasan, officer-in-charge (investigation) of Gouripur Police Station.

The truck rammed the human hauler on Mymensingh-Kishoreganj road around 6:45pm, that left a passenger dead on the spot and injured eight others, the police official said.

The injured were first taken to Ishwarganj Upazila Health Complex where two of them succumbed to their injuries.

The rest injured were shifted to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital where three of them died.

Further details including identities of the deceased could not be known immediately, he added.
