6 killed in Gazipur road crash

Six people including a woman were killed and as many as injured when a human hauler collided with a bus in Gazipur city this morning.

All the dead and injured victims were workers of different garment factories but their names and other details could not be known immediately, our Gazipur correspondent reports quoting police.

The injured are: Nur Mohammad, 35, Babul, 35, Habibullah, 38, Nazrul Hossain, 18, Ashiqul Islam, 42, and Nazmul Haque, 40. They are receiving treatment at Gazipur Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital.

The human hauler hit the bus, which started to move slowly on Dhaka-Tangail highway after dropping passengers, Imran Hossain, a sub-Inspector of Naojor highway police outpost.

Six passengers died on the spot while six others suffered injuries in the accident that took place in front of Bhawal Badr-e Alam Government College at Autpara area around 6:45am, the SI said.
