6-day Eid vacation starts

A six-day long Eid vacation for the government employees started from this morning.   

Thirteen lakh public servants of the country already started enjoying the vacation as last working day before the Eid was yesterday.

Working people will enjoy an extended vacation during Eid-ul-Azha since the government has declared September 11 a public holiday.

Following the vacation, the holidaymakers have already started their journey to their home districts to celebrate Eid with near and dear ones.

After the long vacation, they will have to join their offices on September 15. The Eid will be observed across the country on September 13.

Transport operators, police and officials of the Roads and Highways Department (RHD) hoped that there would be less pressure on highways this year. Similarly, there would be less hassle for train and launch passengers.
