5 killed in Comilla car plunge

Five people including three children were killed as a private car plunged into a roadside ditch in Laksam municipal area of Comilla this morning.

The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately, Bangla daily Prothom Alo reports.

Three people including a child died on the spot when a Dhaka-bound private car from Noakhali fell into the ditch around 7:00am, acting Officer-in-Charge of Laksam Police Station Abdullah Al Mahfuz told the daily.

Two other children succumbed at Laksam Upazila Health Complex later.
