5 drug addicts jailed

A mobile court here on Monday sentenced five people to different jail terms for taking heroin. The convicts are Shanta Barman, 27, son of Jandhar Barman, Mohan Ali, 23, son of Jabbar Ali of Babupara area in the town, Ehsanul Haque, 24, son of Emdadul Haque, Abeda Sultana Kajal, 19, daughter of Syed Hossain of Thanapara area in the town, and Shahadat Hossain Pappu, 25, son of late Akhter Hossain of Radhaballav area of Rangpur town. Executive Magistrate Sanaul Haque led the court, said police.
