5 killed as bus hits auto-rickshaw in Sylhet

Five people were killed and another was injured as a bus rammed a CNG-run three-wheeler that they were on in Golapganj upazila of Sylhet this morning.

Three of the deceased were identified as auto-rickshaw driver Bahar Uddin and Md Zakaria of Fazilpur village and Lal Miah of Lorifor village in the upazila, reports our Sylhet correspondent.

A Beanibazar-bound bus hit an auto-rickshaw headed for Sylhet at Choughari Bazar around 10:00am, said Officer-in-Charge of Golapganj Police Station Mohammad Harun-ur-Rashid. 

The injured person was rushed to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital, the OC said.
