25-year-old held in connection with rape of 7-year-old in Jashore

A man was held in connection with the rape of a seven-year-old girl in Jashore's Keshabpur upazila yesterday afternoon.

The victim's mother filed a case with Keshabpur Police Station against the accused. Police arrested Masum Billah (25) after filing of the case, said Sub-Inspector Ajijur Rahman of Keshabpur Police Station.

The accused lured the victim to a remote place with promises of a pet bird and then raped her there, the SI said quoting the victim's mother.
