2 madrasa kids drown

Two minor children drowned in a pond at Kachukhain village in Raozan upazila on Tuesday.

The deceased are Mohammad Mamun, 8, son of Monir Ahmed of the village, and Sumaiya Akhter, 7, daughter of Farid Alam., also students of Ahmadia Al Islamia Madrasa in the upazila.

Locals said the two kids went to take bath in a pond adjacent to their house and went missing at noon.

Villager later recovered their bodies from the pond after a frantic search.
