2 kids drown in river

Two kids drowned in the Pagla River in Kansat-Milik area of Shibganj upazila yesterday.

They are Anik, 3, son of Nazim Uddin, and Rial, 3, son of Sohel Rana.

Moinul Islam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Shibganj Police Station, said Anik and Rial fell into the river while they are playing on its bank near their house at around 8:30am.

Locals rescued the kids and took them to Shibganj Upazila Health Complex where the doctors declared them dead.
