These 11 trains are an addition to the eight train fleet which began operating on Sunday, resuming the intercity train services in the country after remaining suspended for more than two months following the coronavirus outbreak.

However, a total of 16 trains are in operation today as three trains -- two from the newly added 11 and one from the previous eight -- have their weekly off-day, Aminul Hoque, station manager of Kamalapur Railway Station told The Daily Star.

He said they are selling tickets online. Tickets of most of the trains are being sold out, he added.
