10 killed in Bogra, Tangail road crashes

Ten people were killed and 25 injured in separate road accidents in Bogra and Tangail today.
Among the victims, six died on the spot on Dhaka-Rangpur highway in Bogra and the rest were killed in Kalihati upazila of Tangail.
Identities of the victims were not known immediately.

In Bogra

The accident occurred when a Dhaka-bound bus of Nabil Paribahan collided head-on with an oncoming bus on the highway around 12:30pm, our Bogra correspondent reports quoting Moshiur Rahman, senior assistant superintendant (A circle) of Borga police.
The injured were admitted to Shaheed Ziur Rahman Medical College and other local hospitals, the police official said.

In Tangail

Four people were killed and five injured when a truck veered off the road in Kalihati upazila this morning.
A Sirajganj-bound cement-laden truck from Narayanganj skidded off the road and fell into a ditch at Jhokarchar area around 6:00am after the driver lost control over the steering, , our Tangail correspondent reports quoting
Asabur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Bangabandhu Bridge East Police Station.
The injured were admitted to a local hospital, he added.
