Bernicat to discuss with Trump on restoring GSP

US Ambassador to Dhaka Marcia Stephens Bloom Bernicat today said she will discuss with US President-elect Donald Trump on restoring GSP (Generalised System of Preferences) facilities for Bangladesh.

The US envoy was speaking to journalists after attending a programme organised by Nargis Rashid Foundation at East West Industrial Park in Board Bazar area of Gazipur Municipality, reports our Gazipur correspondent.

Bangladesh has advanced significantly in garments sector, with improved working environment and much lower gender discrimination, the US envoy said.

"We are very happy about this development and I promise that I will discuss with the newly elected government of the United States on restoring GSP facilities for Bangladesh," Bernicat said.
