RU teacher Biswajit receives best professor award

Biswajit Chanda, a teacher of Law & Land Administration department at Rajshahi University, has been recognised as the best professor for his outstanding performance in Land Administration Studies.

The World Education Congress, CMO Asia and CMO Council, jointly extended the Bangladesh Education Leadership Awards 2019 to Prof Chanda at a function held at a hotel in Dhaka today, said a press release.

Prof Chanda, also founder chairman of Law & Land Administration department, received PhD degree from School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London.

During his stay in London, Chanda used to take classes on law at different universities including SOAS, LSE and Queen Mary University, and in Germany at German Federal Foreign Academy as a guest lecturer.

He was dean of the RU Law Faculty for two consecutive terms, director of Centre of Excellence in Teaching and Learning and Senator of the National University.

Previously, he served as a Member of Bangladesh Judicial Service Commission.
