Woman killed 'by husband' in Ashulia

A man has allegedly killed his wife by slitting her throat in Ashulia of Dhaka.

Police recovered the body of Rima Begum, 26, a mother of two children, from their Khejur Bagan house yesterday morning.

Her husband Mizanur Rahman, a vehicle driver of a textile mill, has been on the run since the incident, said Ashulia police. Mizanur might have killed his wife when she and her children were asleep, they said. Mizanur lived with his family in two rooms beside the retreat lodge of the owner of the mill, they added. Rima's brother Saddam Hossain filed a case with Ashulia Police Station accusing Mizanur .
