UN Assistant Secretary-General Haoliang Xu due today

United Nations Assistant Secretary-General Haoliang Xu is scheduled to arrive in Dhaka today on a four-day visit, says a UNDP press release. 

During his visit in Bangladesh, Xu, also Director of Regional Bureau for Asia and the Pacific, will participate in a commemoration of 50th anniversary of UNDP and also Baishakh celebrations today.

He will visit Sirajganj and attend a "human development report launching programme" on April 26, 2016.

The UNDP will launch its new human development report the same day in the capital.
