Two killed in road accidents

Manik Miah, 15, of Gopalpur upazila was killed and four others were injured when a truck hit a pickup van, which was carrying them, from behind in the upazila in Tangail on Thursday morning. 

In another incident in the same district, Yousuf Ali, 60, of Bhuapur upazila was killed when a motorcycle abruptly hit him at the upazila's Kostapara in the evening.

In Barisal, a bus plunged into a roadside ditch after losing control on Barisal-Banaripara highway at Gariarpar in Barisal Sadar upazila yesterday afternoon, leaving 10 of its passengers critically injured; adds our Barisal correspondent.
