Two killed, 60 injured in road accidents

Two people were killed and 60 others injured in road accidents in three districts yesterday and on Saturday.

In Magura Sadar, Ziaul Islam, 32, of Moghi village was killed when a truck hit his motorcycle on Magura-Jessore road in Moghirdhal area on Saturday night.

In Thakurgaon, Shishir, 07, son of Johirul Haque of Charol village was killed when a three-wheeler hit him while he was crossing on Thakurgaon-Baliadangi road under Baliadangi upazila yesterday.

In Jhalakathi, 60 people were injured when a bus fell into a roadside ditch as the driver lost his control over the vehicle while trying to overtake another vehicle at Pingri of Rajapur on Barisal-Khulna Highway yesterday.

The bus was overloaded and many passengers were on the roof.
