Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) opened a new option in its website, allowing people to inform the anti-corruption watchdog of corruption in health, education, local government, land and climate financing sectors.

A TIB press release yesterday announced the new initiative, "report corruption" (www.ti-bangladesh.org/rc).

"The main objective of the initiative is to analyse the data and information collected and identify corruption prone sectors and their behaviour," it read .

It would also send specific corruption complaints to Anti-Corruption Commission for legal action and would follow up on their actions.

However, the press statement noted that TIB does not take any action against any person and does not have the authority to take any legal or administrative action based on information received.
