Three killed in road accidents

Three people were killed and three others injured in road accidents in the country yesterday.

Our Thakurgaon correspondent reports, a pedestrian was killed while another was injured when a truck hit them on Boda-Debiganj road at Konpukhuri in Boda upazila of Panchagarh yesterday.

The deceased was Tara Mia, 58, of the village. Rina, 40, is undergoing treatment at Rangpur Medical College Hospital.

Our Jhenidah correspondent adds, two persons were killed and two others injured when a truck of Afil Agro Ltd hit a sand-laden stationary truck on Jhenidah-Kushtia highway at Sreerampur village in Shailokupa upazila.

The dead, Dalim Hossain, 34, of Jessore Sadar upazila, and Abdus Samad, 36, of Monirampur upazila of Jessore, were the truck drivers.

The injured helpers of the drivers were admitted to Jhenidah Sadar Hospital.
