Sylhet ward councillor fined for cutting hill

The Department of Environment yesterday fined Md Iliasur Rahman, a councillor of Ward No 8 of Sylhet City Corporation Tk 1 lakh for cutting his hill at Brammashasan in the city without DoE's permission.
A DoE team had summoned the councillor after visiting the spot on March 6.
