Sweet factory, bakery fined Tk 30 lakh

A mobile court fined a sweet factory and a bakery Tk 15 lakh each in Chittagong city for producing foods with harmful chemicals, date-expired dye and not maintaining hygiene on Tuesday night.

The court led by executive magistrate of Rapid Action Battalion Sarwar Alam conducted the drive at Banoful sweetmeat factory in Bayezid Bostami area and Modhuban bakery in Muradpur area, said Sarwar to The Daily Star.
