Savar RMG workers seek salary hike

Around 400 readymade garment workers of about eight factories formed a human chain at Zamgora bus stand in Ashulia of Savar outside the capital yesterday demanding a salary hike so that they can cope with the increased prices of essentials.
Under the banner of "Bangladesh Garment and Industrial Workers Federation", they also sought two Eid bonuses in a year equal to their salaries.
Meanwhile, some RMG workers of around four factories formed another human chain at the Rana Plaza site in Savar to press home the same demands.
