Robbery at expat's house in Gazipur, 4 injured

Four of a family were injured yesterday during an armed robbery when Tk 1 lakh in cash and valuables were looted from a house at Sreepur of Gazipur early yesterday.

Undergoing treatment at different hospitals, the injured were attacked with sharp weapons when they tried to resist the robbers.

Kazi Alam, brother of expatriate Kazi Masud, said some 25 armed robbers stormed their house breaking the door around 2:30am and looted Tk 1 lakh, a laptop, gold ornaments and other valuables.

Asaduzzaman, officer-in-charge of Sreepur Police Station, confirmed the incident.

A case was lodged in this regard.
