Road crashes kill four
Four people were killed and 41 others injured in road accidents in the country yesterday and Thursday.
Our Dinajpur correspondent reports, Abdur Razzak, 31, of Pataripara village, was killed and six other persons were injured as a pick-up van hit an overcrowded battery-run three-wheeler carrying them at Haldibarimor in Parbatipur upazila on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Sakhwat Hossain, 55, of Mahabpur village, died as a motorbike hit him in Ambari Bazar area in the upazila.
Our Barisal correspondent reports, 35 people were injured as a bus plunged into a roadside ditch at Dapdapia after the driver lost his control over the steering on Barisal-Patuakhali highway in Barisal Sadar upazila yesterday.
Twenty seven injured were admitted to Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital.
Our Jhalakathi correspondent reports, Sara Moni, 5, daughter of Jahangir Khan of Kathipara in Rajapur, died when a truck ran her over on Barisal-Khulna highway at Kathipara.
Our Patuakhali correspondent adds, Bayezid Hossain, 6, son of Eunus Master of Lakurtala village in Barguna Sadar upazila, was killed when a bus of Sugondha Paribahan hit him on Patuakhali-Kuakata road at Hazibari in Amtali upazila of Barguna yesterday.
