Road crashes kill five

Three people were killed and six others injured as a bus skidded off the Rangpur-Dhaka Highway in Jhopgari area in Bogra town yesterday, reports our Bogra correspondent.

Two of the deads are Shajeda Begum, 30, of Belail village, and her son Shurja Mia, 12.

Nurzahan Begum, 52, of Bathoi village was killed and two people were injured as a bus hit a rickshaw-van on Bogra-Noagaon road in Paglapir area of Kahaloo upazila.

In Chandpur, Ria Moni, 13, daughter of Ruhul Amin of Randhimuri area was killed when an auto-rickshaw hit her near Randhimuri Bridge on Haziganj-Ramganj road.
