Road crashes kill 3, injure 5

Three people were killed and five others injured in road accidents in three districts yesterday and on Saturday.

In Natore, Santosh Basak, 35, of Hugolbaria area of Sadar upazila was killed when a human-huller hit him while he was standing beside Natore-Rajshahi highway in Bonbelghoria area.

In Thakurgaon, a woman was killed and five others were injured when a truck collided head-on with an auto-rickshaw on Thakurgaon-Dhaka highway at Jagannatpur on Saturday evening.

The deceased Hanifa Begum Panna, 40, of Bosirpara village was an employee of Thakurgaon Polli Biddut Samity.

In Panchagarh, physically challenged Mokhlesur Rahman, 35, of Fotepur village was killed when a tractor hit an auto-rickshaw on Dhamor-Atwary road in Shukhati village of Atwary upazila on Saturday morning.
