Road crashes kill 3, injure 33

Three people were killed and 33 injured in road accidents in three districts yesterday.

In Mymensingh Sadar, two passengers of a CNG-run auto-rickshaw were killed and three others injured when the vehicle collided head-on with a bus on Mymensingh-Tangail road in Maizbari Petrol Pump area.

The deceased were Babul Sikder, 50, of Ganginarpar area of the upazila and Hazrat Ali, 35, of Muktagacha.

In Chittagong, Mosammat Anika, 6, daughter of Abdul Jabbar of Sheikher Khil area was killed as a truck ran her over while she was crossing the road in Banshkhali upazila.

Meanwhile, 30 people were injured when two buses collided head-on on Dhaka-Aricha highway at Kelia in Dhamrai, outside the capital.
