Road crashes kill 2

A girl was killed when a truck ran her over while she was crossing the on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway at Beltoli in Mymensingh Sadar yesterday.

The deceased was Asha Akhtar, 10, daughter of Alal Uddin of Borovillar Par village.

Protesting the incident, locals blocked the highway disrupting vehicular movement for an hour.

In Chapainawabganj Sadar, Saidur Rahman, 55, of Char Debinagar village was killed when a paddy-laden power tiller fell into a roadside ditch after it collided with another one at Haya intersection.
